ReelStack has no accounts, so we never ask for your name, your email address or a password. Your library is stored on your device, not on a server we run. This page sets out precisely what that means, including the handful of things that do leave your phone and who receives them.
The short version. We cannot see your library. We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not run advertising, and we do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps. What does leave your device is limited to the title information the app has to fetch, anonymous usage counts, crash diagnostics, and your purchase status.
All of this is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and is never transmitted to us:
If you have iCloud enabled, this data also syncs between your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud key value storage. That sync happens inside your own Apple Account. We do not operate it, cannot read it, and hold no copy. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Episode alerts are scheduled locally by your device. There is no push server, which means we never learn what you are watching, and no list of your shows exists anywhere for anyone to send notifications from.

When you search, or open a title, the app requests information from TMDB through a proxy we operate. That request carries what you searched for or the identifier of the title being viewed, along with the ordinary technical details any web request carries, including your IP address. We do not log these requests to build a profile, and they are not connected to anything else in this policy. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
The app sends anonymous counts to Aptabase, a privacy focused analytics service. These are events such as a title being added, a screen being opened, or the purchase screen being shown, sometimes with a simple property like whether an import succeeded. They carry no name, no email, no device advertising identifier and no title level detail that could reconstruct your library. They cannot be tied back to you, and we could not identify an individual user from them if we tried.
There is currently no switch in the app to turn this off. That is because there is nothing in it that identifies you, not because we would refuse. If you would prefer one, write to us and say so.
When the app crashes, Sentry receives a report so the fault can be fixed. A report contains technical information: the app version, your device model, your iOS version, and where in the code the failure happened. It does not contain your library.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your card details, and Apple does not share them with us. RevenueCat records whether a purchase was made so the app knows it is unlocked, against an identifier that is not linked to your name or email address.
If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you chose to tell us, for as long as the conversation is useful. That is the only place we would ever hold something identifying, and it is there because you sent it.
You can export your entire library to a CSV file at any time from Settings, free of charge, whether or not you have paid for the app. The file is yours and opens in any spreadsheet application.
To delete everything, delete the app. If you use iCloud sync, also remove the app's data from your iCloud storage in your device settings, since that copy belongs to your Apple Account rather than to us. Because we hold nothing identifying, there is no account for us to delete and no request for you to file. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.
ReelStack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. There is no account system, no messaging, and no user generated content of any kind in the app.
The app can open links to streaming services and to TMDB. Once you leave ReelStack, whatever you do next is covered by that company's own privacy policy rather than this one. Apple also provides us with aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics such as download and territory totals, which we never receive at the level of an individual person.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top will change and the new version will be published here before it takes effect in an app update. We will not quietly start collecting something this page says we do not.
